HR at MIT VIshwaprayag University (Proposed)

MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur aims to provide a skillful integration of Indic and western knowledge in higher education to equip students with the skills and traits for holistic and sustainable living. Vishwaprayag literally means a global confluence. Prayag means confluence of river streams. This university blends the indigenous knowledge streams with that of the west. To expose students to the best across the world, we lay special emphasis on Vedic scientific knowledge which has hitherto been neglected in mainstream education despite being the source of millennia of peace and prosperity of Bharat. Our focus is to recontextualize that knowledge for modern conditions side by side with western perspective.

Our degree programs have an integrated curriculum designed from the ground up to give flexibility, application orientation and critical thinking from first principles. Vedic knowledge offers an abundance of theoretical models in various disciplines applicable even today, however they are not presented as such. In current education, making their comparison with western models difficult. We are attempting to present a model based approach to Indic Knowledge Studies (IKS) unlike other attempts.
