This is the underlying philosophy of SeniorWorld, Indias first company established to cater to the overall needs of seniors. Indian seniors lives are getting re-shaped like never before. To start with, we are all living longer. With more and more people living well into their 80 and 90s, the 60+ group is today the fastest growing segment of India. So much so, that there are more than 6 lakh Indians over the age of 100.
Its not just how long they are living, but also how they are living thats changing. More and more families are going nuclear. Seniors are therefore increasingly staying away from their children. Technology and the internet have never been as important as they are today, in keeping families connected.
While these changes are making some Seniors more vulnerable and hesitant, they are also opening doors for others who are reclaiming their retirement to refire carving out active retired lives, pursuing passions they never had time for earlier, travelling and contributing to society. At SeniorWorld, we strongly believe that Indian seniors aspire to get a lot more from life, and also wish to give back a lot more to society. Our mission is to enable them to do both. We also believe that Indias current ecosystem of products and solutions for Seniors is completely unprepared for their burgeoning needs.
Positive ageing research around the world is demonstrating how simple lifestyle habits such as regular exercise, having hobbies, staying in touch with friends and laughing easily, go a long way in promoting well-being of Seniors. We believe that 60 is the new 40 and we are committed to fostering communities that help like-minded Seniors connect, while also providing them with tools and resources to live life to the fullest.
