We at Zopper are looking for a talented, driven and experienced Category Manager to lead multiple categories within the Television and Home entertainment Business. It is a pivotal role that will contribute to the evolution and success of one of the fastest growing businesses in the company. - The Category Manager be responsible for managing a set of categories (including reporting, driving unit, revenue and margin growth, and executing promotions), negotiating with key brands, driving incremental selection in the stores, and working with stakeholder teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience that will result in category leadership in the online market segment.
- Overall owner of the category internally, partners and brands.
- Drives Business growth, and Market Share of the Specific Category with strong product, competition and consumer analytics. Contributes in development of Periodic Financial Plans and Projections. Contributes in the product communication development on the site. Creation and Execution of the Sales and Promotion Plans.
- Identify merchant partners for a category under the marketplace model
- Source catalogues of national brands, smaller brands & private labels for that category and ensure availability of a wide variety of products on the marketplace
- Contributes in creation of sales plans and completely owns up the execution of the same to maximize sell-through of the inventory made available to sell.
- Work with merchandising team to get the catalogues live on the marketplace
- Be the SPOC (Single Point of contact) of a particular category for internal teams and for merchant partners and handle the operations, resolve issues and drive the day-day sales for the category
Key Deliverables :
- Deliver the business metrics for the category viz. Availability (# of listings, stock availability, # of merchant partners), Sales (GMV, Qty Sold) and Profitability (% gross margins)
- Maintain the balance between MOM growth for current sellers and avoiding seller concentration so get new sellers for the category while growing business for current sellers
- Reduce churn of the Top sellers keep all the top sellers engaged with the marketplace through day - day interaction on live catalogs, introducing new catalogs and deals

- Candidate should be from Tier 1 college
- Candidate from E-commerce industry would be preferable
