Position: Head - Data Science, Business Intelligence & Analytics

Experience in years: 8 - 10 years

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: CEO

About the Role:

At Zoomcar, we use data to drive decisions. We measure and track user trends, driving behaviour, trip scores, location data, car health, seasonal effects, retention trends and many other interconnected data sets. Data science is central to the businesses ability to convert data into insight and insight into action.

As the Head of Data Science, Business Intelligence & Analytics you will :

- Work with CXOs to define the roadmap and vision for Data Science at Zoomcar

- Work with Data Engineering to build a robust data platform

- Work with Business Teams on analytical models, recommendation systems, forecasting models and develop plans to run experiments and productize new features.

- Work with IoT/Devices Teams to build meta-scores that can be used by operations and business teams.

- Work with ZAP marketplace team on associate behaviour profiling and listing analytics

- Together with your team, own Business Intelligence and Analytics at Zoomcar

Basic Qualifications :

- Any Graduate / Post Graduate ( Premier Institute )

- Ability to convert business problems into data science projects

- Comfortable with Supervised, Unsupervised and Data Mining techniques.

- Strong knowledge of techniques for Regularization, Dimensionality Reduction and Pattern Matching / Anomaly Detection

- Experience in using SPSS, R, Octave, Matlab, Python or any other statistical software

- Experience in mentoring junior team members

- Strong communication, data visualization and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

- PhD in CS or Math, Machine Learning, Operational research, Statistics or in a highly quantitative field. (PhD strongly preferred).

- 5+ years of industrial experience in predictive modeling and analysis

- Good skills with Java or C++, Perl/Python (or similar scripting language)

- Experience handling gigabyte and terabyte size data sets

- Experience working with retail or e-commerce data

- Experience working with distributed systems and grid computing

- Publications or presentation in recognized Machine Learning and Data Mining journals/conferences
