Job Description:

Purpose:

The Zonal Sales Manager will lead sales operations across Pune for non-cosmetic consumer commodities such as household products (detergents, cleaners) and personal care items (shampoo, toothpaste). This role involves driving sales growth, managing a team, and ensuring market expansion aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and execute sales strategies for increasing product penetration, driving growth, and achieving sales targets.

Team Leadership & Management:

- Lead, motivate, and train a team of sales representatives to meet KPIs and sales goals.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Build relationships with distributors, retailers, and clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Sales Performance & Reporting:

- Track sales performance, prepare reports for the Regional Manager, and implement improvements.

Market Expansion & Distribution:

- Identify new channels for product availability, collaborate with marketing teams, and ensure inventory management.

Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with company policies and provide regular sales reports.

Key Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

- Experience: With 3+ years in a managerial role, preferably in FMCG or personal care products.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, data analysis, and team management skills.

KPIs:

Achievement of sales targets

Market share growth in Pune

Sales team performance

Customer acquisition and retention

Timely reporting and forecasting

Challenges:

Navigating a competitive FMCG market

Managing a geographically dispersed team

Stock availability and distribution logistics

Work Environment:

Location: Pune (with regular travel within the assigned region)

Work Schedule: 6 Days a week

Reporting Line: Directly to the Regional Manager.
