Job Description :


- To develop, implement sales plans / strategies for assigned territories and to achieve sales and profit targets. Responsible for linking corporate initiatives with regional activities through the management of local sales teams.

Our client is a US based global MNC specializing in the Foods space possessing a strong global presence and an ever-increasing India footprint. Market leaders and innovators within their product range, the business has grown tremendously over the years establishing a very rich equity in the market. They are currently in the middle of a phenomenal growth trajectory, and are looking to hire Zonal Sales Leader for their Western region business.

Description :

Reporting to the National Sales Head, the incumbent will be responsible for:

- Be based at the regional H.Q. and be responsible for effective day-to-day management of the team posted at different cities within the region.


- To achieve targets with full P&L responsibilities of the region / zone.


- To be accountable for the total supply chain management across the region / zone.


- To work with H.O. team to define, analyze and implement distribution strategies.


- To lead local sales force in distributor management in selecting, developing and monitoring performance of distributors/wholesalers/network.


- To work closely with Marketing to implement Marketing Plans and programs and manage local marketing budgets.


- To be responsible for Key end-users' management. Direct responsibility for management and maintenance of key end-users. Increase knowledge of the market; build relationships with key end-users and distributors.


- Organization development and alignment through management and training of sales team. Provide solid positive leadership of Sales team with clear direction, motivation to achieve expectations both financial and non-financial.


- To establish clear communication channels between sales, marketing, technical associates to maintain clear and constant communication with H.O. and related departments like H.R., Finance, Production R & D etc. as deemed appropriate.

Profile :

- Pref MBA in Sales & Marketing (ok with Bachelor's) with at least 18-20 years of total experience. Progressive sales and marketing experience in food or beverages space in B2B/B2C Companies is really important. Experience of having handled regional sales preferably in multinational environment is great to have. The role will cover setting up sales tracking systems and processes.

- On the other skills, the individual must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills besides being a relationship builder. He/She should have good people skills & exhibit sensitivity to culture. Excellent English - both spoken and written and local languages as applicable in the region are important to know. Hands-on experience & knowledge of any Sales Automation software & DMS - Distributor management software etc. is highly desirable.
