Purpose of the Role :
The incumbent would be responsible to lead and drive the HORECA business unit as the Zonal Sales Head-South, responsible for formulating and executing strategic sales plans, managing a regional sales team, and achieving revenue growth targets within the HORECA segment.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning and Execution :
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets within the HORECA segment.
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership and Management :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a national sales team to achieve sales objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring the team is motivated and equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, distributors, and partners.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to align on business goals and objectives.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with major HORECA clients to secure long-term partnerships.
Sales Operations :
- Oversee the sales operations to ensure efficient and effective sales processes.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Market Expansion and Business Development :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's presence in the HORECA market.
- Develop and implement plans to enter new geographic markets and segments.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and activities to drive sales growth.
Qualification & Experience :
- Graduate or MBA with minimum 15-20 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the HORECA segment. Preferably from food products/spices with regional/zonal exposure in HORECA.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and market trends.
