Zonal Operational Head
OPERATIONS:
- Drive zonal operations through the KPIs defined for both outbound and inbound operations
- Govern relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors to ensure operations are fully integrated; facilitate continuous improvement through KPIs defined to measure performance
- Liaise and coordinate between different divisions necessary to perform operational duties and aid business development
- Keep a track of Planned v/s Actual on operational metrics, carry out conduction of appropriate capacity planning of warehouse space
- Ensure compliance to health and safety policies, standards and procedures, including appropriate training of staff at all levels
- Govern centralized transportation operations that acts as a service provider to all business/operations, drive cost efficiencies in transport planning operations ensuring optimum utilization of vehicles
- Support Business Head in setting up an operationalization of new warehousing facility, ensure proper deployment of workforce
- Administer risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
- Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation are in place for all warehouse activities, address non-compliance through corrective actions
- Drive process excellence through operational efficiency and productivity with the use of best-in-class technology
- Oversee smooth flow of receivables and ensure outstanding collection is within the agreed credit period with all customers
CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT:
- Develop and maintain key customer relationships to ensure business continuity
Ensure implementation/execution of operational services is in line with customer expectations and needs
- Leverage statistical data on utilization, growth and profitability of the assigned regional and strategic accounts
- Identify potential business opportunities with existing/new accounts, provide team with guidance & support to expand coverage
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
- Design and implement staffing strategies to ensure work force is flexible and can respond to variations in workflow
- Prepare team development and succession plan for all levels in their reporting structure
- Monitor key parameters on productivity, attrition rates and make necessary improvements
- Drive capability building/ upskilling of employees in the division, ensure latest and required training programs are conducted and attended by the team

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Operations Training Program
QUALIFICATION: Master's degree in any field, good experience in supply chain industry
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 12+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of business and commercial transactions
- Dealing with mid and large complex accounts across assigned geographies
- Well-rounded interpersonal skills and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and cogent manner
- Quick thinking, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external senior management, solving problems on a real-time basis
- Ability to manage multiple workloads and projects simultaneously Comfortable in dealing with ambiguities.
- Confidence to make recommendations for business development, process improvement
