Zonal Legal Manager - Due Diligence
Roles & Responsibility:
Extending transactional support/Title due-diligence:
- Evaluation and legal/title diligence of high ticket cases
- Drafting of customised documentation
- Identification of Legal Risks and their control Measures/Mitigation.
- Well versed with title due-diligence of all types of properties & regional local legal nuances.
- Monitoring & close coordination with Zonal & HUBs/Branches, CPC & External legal agencies
- Work closely with Credit & Business Teams.
Implementation of Legal Policy and Procedures North Zone:
- Standardization of loan agreement, drafts, procedures and their updation.
- Procedure and draft updation (P&D)
- Procedure and practice for security creation
- Stamp duty requirement and updation.
- Legal MIS management. Lawyer billing process management.
Updation on law, policy and regulatory requirements impacting retail mortgage business:
- Supervision & approval of regional legal policy draft.
Legal PDD, Collections and Monitoring:
- PDD Management across Zone specifically for BT and resale cases.
- Formulating policies for reduction of PDD's.
Vendor Management:
- Vendor selection- vendor background, qualification, industry reference and reputation
- Adherence of and improvement on the empanelment process
- Defining scope of work and effecting requisite timely modifications
Rationale of case allocation:
- Vendor Quality management and Audit
- Payment management - timely and accurate payment
- Vendor management leveraging technology.
APF Project Approvals:
- Managing APFs & builder relation.
- Vetting of TPA & builder documentation.
- Supervision of Subvention.
- APF Legal report management.
- Team Management
Management of regional legal resources:
- Formulation of approval matrix among internal legal counsels.
- Market Intelligence
- Market Intelligence on Real Estate Market
- Educating with property prices & trends, infrastructure news, policy & guideline changes.
- Updating senior management on important real estate matters.
Concurrent Docket Audit:
- Selection of in-house/external team
- Quality control/Sample Audit
- Cost control and management.
- Publishing Monthly audit dashboard.
Trainings:
- CSMs - on Docket executions and Audits Security Creation
- Credit and Business team - Legal aspects of Retail Underwriting business
- Zonal and regional resources - through industry experts.
Litigation Management:
- Managing Non-collection cases.
- Finalising Legal recourse & legal strategy in defending cases arises against company & filed by company.
- Appointment of litigation vendors across Zones.
- Supervision & management of legal notices received against company.
- Timely issuance of Notices & replies.
- Litigation MIS.
- Managing customer services legal issues with Customer support teams.
- Appointment of Senior Advocates and briefing senior counsel in important matters.
- Attending customer service request which are related to legal.
