Zonal Head - Sales - Building Material Firm


The incumbent will play a key role in developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets. This position requires expertise in Beat Planning, Zone Allocation, and B2B Sales, along with a proven track record of handling Cement / Building material/ Construction chemicals either in channel sales or project sales.

- Responsible for defining and implementing territory/ area wise business objectives consequently define the sales strategy based on guidelines given by Chief Sales and ensure effective implementation through market understanding and business development objectives.

- Develops short and long term strategy for the region in terms of market evolution, segment characteristics, revenue and price growths, optimization of supply chain and Customer mix.

- Manage the sales team under his responsibility: define the missions and objectives of his workforce, carry out their performance reviews, ensure the motivation of his team and develop their skills.

- Impart regular training to entire Sale and Back-office team on various subject related to Sales, Finance, Business Development, Logistics etc. so as to achieve the desired company's objectives.

- Adjust the Sales Organization of his region (Head Counts, working processes, resources allocation) to optimize its effectiveness and efficiency.

- Validate the target customer and prospect base, proposed by RSM/ASM/BSM, and control its effective management.

- Participate in the design of the value proposition per segment (products, systems, services, distribution/delivery, pricing, branding, communications, etc) and monitor its implementation

- Rates the potential value (financial health, growth strategy, sustainability) of markets and customers Sales Revenue & Operations management

- Actively participates with Chief of Sales for the strategic review, performance plan and budget and lead the implementation of sales actions. He is directly responsible to develop and implement regional budgets periodically on volumes and price as well as cash flow and risk [s] management.

- To optimize sales in high contribution areas by formulating strategies to give long run returns

Other Responsibilities' include:

- Lead the team in achieving monthly targets for customer acquisition and conversion, with a focus on attaining new customer acquisition (Registration and Onboarding) targets.

- Cultivate and nurture enduring relationships with newly on boarded customers, linking them with suitable sellers on the platform.

- Contribute market intelligence inputs for the formulation of pricing and activation strategies.

- Oversee the enrichment and maintenance of customer profiles, ensuring regular updates in CRM.

- Work closely with the customer success team to ensure a seamless transition of clients, fostering repeat sales with minimal dropouts.

- Guide customers through their credit application journey.

Qualifications:

- Engineer+ MBA. Exceptionally strong candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.

- Possess a minimum of 15+ years of experience in customer acquisition and sales in the B2B segment of the Cement industry.

- Demonstrate a proven track record of meeting customer needs, establishing robust customer relationships, and effectively closing sales.

- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Be a self-starter and a driven individual with a results-oriented approach.

- Have significant experience in managing teams, with a minimum of 5+ (Manager Level) direct reportees. .
