CTC upto 18 lacs

Job description:

The role is responsible for financial planning and analysis for internal functions (HR, IT, procurement, Admin) including activities such as budgeting and forecasting profit and loss, evaluating operating performance on a periodic basis, budget preparation and understanding of the key assumptions and trends that may impact future performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational:

- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs for internal operations

- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards for internal operations

- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences for internal operations

- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice for internal operations

- Report to management regarding the finances of internal operations

- Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts for internal operations

- Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for the approval or disapproval of funds requests for internal operations

- Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls for operations

- Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations for internal operations

- Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports for internal operations

- Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program

- Interpret budget directives and establish policies for carrying out directives for internal operations

People:

- Oversee facilitation of a conducive work environment that ensures high employee engagement levels, especially in the accounts team involving subordinates / team members

- Provide ongoing support to subordinates / team members both technically, i.e. working on financial planning related issues and functionally, i.e. overall development in finance related skills / abilities

- Manage the resolution of issues escalated from team members & key stakeholders

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant Required

- 10 - 12 years of experience in financial planning and analysis

- Prior experience in logistics / courier / transportation and other related industry is preferred
