Zonal Business Head - Vice - President
Position Summary :
To spearhead the business in the zone and to enable the team to achieve growth and financial success in a rapidly developing, changing and highly competitive environment. The position encompasses overall responsibility of day to day management and interface and will be responsible for effective implementation and execution of sales strategies driven by HO. In addition, the role will be responsible for the providing effective leadership and overall development of a team members of both sales and non-sales verticals at Zonal Level.
In this role the individual will be required to have a good knowledge of Life Insurance, People skills, Business Strategy, Planning and Execution skills.
Key Deliverables :
1. The candidate need to have a proven track record of success with regard to Business Development, enhancing relationships and credible Man-Management experience.
2. As a Senior Member he/she is expected to contribute positively and meaningfully in relation to all aspects of Sales Planning, execution and people Management.
3. Ensure all leading Sales Indicators are in line with pre-agreed Business Plan (Number of cases/Case size/Cases per branch/Written vs issued)
4. Will be responsible to achieve agreed sales delivery objectives within pre- defined promotional Costs/Budgets.
5. Overall responsibility to ensure a full and credible sales team are in place at all times to support the respective department's sales activities.
6. To Plan, manage and deliver against Zonal/ Regional/ Area level business objectives as specified by the management.
7. Ensure a robust, clearly defined, transparent Business Plans are in place with all Primary partners to enable achievement of business objectives (Volume targets/Budgets/Promotional Plans/Product Development/P&L)
8. Create meaningful, effective and collaborative relationships with key Senior Management and respective partners.
9. Implement robust reporting templates by partner/sales region and teams to ensure daily analysis of sales performance is available
10. Ensure qualitative Relationship exist for all primary partners. Work with management colleagues (Product Development/Actuarial/Finance/Sales Operations) to ensure effective planning and communication exists to support the business.
11. Implement specific Training and Development Programs for ALL staff members within Zone,
Job Specification :
1. Must have at least 15 years of experience in selling analytics/ enterprise products and solutions, targeting insurance sector with deep relationships at executive levels.
2. Effective communicator internally and externally - demonstrated influencing skills.
3. Proven experience in Sales Strategy, developing and implementation of effective marketing and Business growth plans.
4. Customer Focus, Marketing Research, Statistical Analysis are key desired competencies.
5. Strong experience in leading sales teams, managing sales cycles, navigating complex deals.
6. Must be good at Client Relationships, Coaching and guiding team members and managing Processes,
7. Should be Self-Motivated and can effectively mobilize and engage team members at various levels and departments,
8. Can establish and develop business contacts with bank partners, financial institutions and other channels which can promote the distribution of the company's insurance products.
9. Manage and promote effective business relationships with Senior Management.
10. Effectively manage distribution channels against agreed performance objectives.
11. Fully participate and support all regional Distribution activities as agreed. To lead and manage a team of Regional/Area Sales Managers and support staff to achieve agreed sales targets.
