Business Operations Manager, F&B / Entrepreneur-in-Residence
We are looking for a young, number-driven Senior Operations Manager who can work side by side with the founder to launch, manage and own the complete F&B operations at Zolostays. This is a hands-on operations role with a strong focus on ground operations and execution.
What is the role-
Zolostays has a vision of creating the F&B department as completely separate BU with its own PnL and Brand name. Currently, the F&B team caters only to in-house residents and we are creating close to 1.5 Lac meals. This is set to grow to almost 5 Lac internally within the next 6 months. We are also looking to cater to external customers. The role is a very exciting and challenging one at the same time. It has an exposure to both the strategic planning as well as execution side of business activities
Primary Responsibilities-
1. Creating & Implementing SOPs :
- Create SOPs and manuals for production, costing, dispatch, data collection, reporting and staff management.
- Implement and refine the SOPs nationally across all six locations that Zolo is currently operating in.
- Create SOP guidelines for new setup and operations launch
2. Revenue Generation:
- Identifying the right business development opportunities for adding additional revenue sources for the F&B team
- Leading the BD effort to achieve the target revenue and sales numbers
- Optimizing costs to improve overall profitability of the F&B Operations
3. Complete Customer Management :
- Establish protocols and channels for feedback collection, analysis and incorporation into the menu and presentation of food at end locations
- Ensuring timely complaint resolution
4. Hiring & Resource Planning
- Hiring additional folks for the F&B team based on requirements
- Managing kitchen staff schedules to ensure seamless operations
5. Implementing MIS and Data Management
- Implementing either inhouse/ third party software solutions to enhance operations and data management after understanding the requirements
How do you qualify for the role-
- Prior Operations Experience - We are looking for young and energetic folks who come with 2-5 years of experience in operations/ analytics roles.
- People Management Experience - The person should have a prior experience of working in teams. Experience of managing direct reportees would be a plus
Other Must-haves -
- Educational Background: Undergrad / Postgrad from top tier college. Good academic performance is non-negotiable
- Conveyance: Ability to ride and own a two-wheeler is a must.
- Excellent Excel Skills. Prior knowledge / exposure to modelling projects / analytics would be awesome!
- Natural love for food (either cooking or even eating) - Obviously!
