Zolo - Business/Data Analyst

We, at Zolo (www.zolostays.com), are looking for a Business / Data Analyst for our project management and strategy team in Bangalore. Our ideal candidate comes with 1-3 years of experience working as an analyst/consultant. He/She has excellent analytical abilities, a strong automation and solution-oriented thought process and intense curiosity. The candidate should have a strong bias towards data-driven decision-making and should be comfortable working in an ambiguous and fast-paced dynamic environment. He/She would work very closely with the senior management team at Zolo to setup and execute the analytics framework across all business functions at Zolo.

ZoloStays is a chain of fully managed long stay accommodations. Founded by alumni of IIT, IIM, AIIMS, ISB, we are currently at a team size of 200+ and are now looking to expand our teams across locations. We are operational in Bangalore, Pune, Kota, and Chennai and operate similarly to service apartments/hostels. Our accommodations come with a guarantee of all kinds of basic and luxury living amenities. Some of the prominent features include fully furnished rooms, hygienic and healthy food, on-demand housekeeping, unlimited internet, top-notch security etc. We are now looking to increase our portfolio of products as well as tap into the potential of at least 3 more emerging cities by year-end.

More about the role responsibilities:

- Modeling and Analysis: Deep dive into data sets and build prototypes and tools in Excel VBA to support business decision making (optimization, scenario planning, reporting).

- Reporting: Create data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations, leveraging software like Tableau/Power BI to summarize key metrics and insights to important stakeholders.

- Data Discovery and Maintenance: Learn and understand a broad range of Zolo's data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use and maintain

More about the role requirements:

Prior Experience: Candidates with 1-3 years of prior analytics / consulting / project management experience preferably in the tier-I/big 4 consulting firms would be strongly preferred

Complete Proficiency in excel modeling, advanced excel skills, VBA, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

Educational Background: Tier I Engineering / Graduates in Mathematics, Statistics / Quantitative discipline

Brownie Points for Knowledge of statistical tools like R and project management software like MS Project

Communication skills - Ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English fluently

More about the Remuneration: In the range of Rs. 8 to 10 LPA (depending upon experience)
