Job Context and what will you do-
We believe we are in a very exciting junction in our journey. We have scaled up from being a start-up and now are looking at building a sustainable, fast growing and a profitable company. We are thus looking at many new models of doing business including evaluating newer categories, geographies and channels.
This inflection implies the need for a strong Category team which can work in ambiguous and unstructured environment and can take charge. In this role of Category manager you would be responsible for leading all categories and be responsible for the full P&L. This would involve:
- Help build a sharp consumer proposition for Zivame through clear merchandizing strategy. This would involve establishing the roles of various sub-categories and brands including Zivame's private labels.
- Defining and driving the new product and categories in line with overall growth strategy.
- Build and drive completely the range plan and architecture including pricing and promotion strategy.
- Driving the key marketing and promotions programs in sync with brand marketing team to achieve growth or margin goals.
- Building key systems and processes which are scalable, this would involve refining the processes around current sales forecasting, planning, catalogue operations and competitive benchmarking.
- Strengthening the network management and operations; building and maintain key relations.
- Ensuring smooth execution of monthly operations- including the inwards, go live and product shoots.
What do you bring-
- Proven track record of leading category or categories in a consumer retail environment. You should have driven all key category operations- including range planning, forecasting, pricing and promotions and inventory management.
- Ability to function in ambiguous settings and being able to build robust and scalable processes to bring a rhythm in operations; ideally in close association with technology teams.
- Ability to build and lead teams with well-defined KRA/KPI; ability to work in cross functional set ups.
- Strong problem solving ability, Analytical Savvy and a strong bias for action.
Your background:
- You would have worked in a consumer retail environment in similar category role. Online experience is preferred.
- You will have an Engineering / Master's Degree in Business Administration or related Master's degree and / or professional certification with 4+ years of experience. Tier 1 institutes.
