The Financial Planning and Operations (FP&O) Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring effective financial management, optimizing cash flow, and supporting the overall business operations.
This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles related to material planning, lead times, payment cycles, and cash flow management within the FMCD industry. The ideal candidate will have a blend of financial acumen, operational expertise, and business management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, including material costs, production lead times, and payment cycles, to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and cash flow management.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and budgets that align with the company's strategic objectives. Continuously monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
3. Cash Flow Management: Effectively manage cash flow by monitoring inflows and outflows, optimizing payment terms with suppliers, and ensuring adequate working capital to support business operations.
4. Material Planning: Collaborate with the operations team to optimize material planning processes, ensuring the availability of necessary materials while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics, risks, and opportunities.
6. Cost Control: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in material procurement, production, and other areas of the business.
7. Business Strategy: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
8. Operational Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Streamline financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, to optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency and develop action plans to address areas of concern.
9. Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced finance certification (e.g. CA, CFA, CPA) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on material planning, lead times, and cash flow management, preferably within the FMCD or related industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
