Job Brief & Responsibilities: The Corporate Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. This individual will be responsible for the origination and execution of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), fund-raising transactions, and providing strategic advisory services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of analytical skills, financial expertise, and strategic thinking to drive growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Origination of M&A Transactions:
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic opportunities.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts, investment banks, and other stakeholders.
Execution of M&A Transactions:
- Lead the due diligence process, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
- Develop and manage financial models and valuation analyses.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
- Prepare and present detailed transaction reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Preparing pitch decks including financial projections.
Strategic Advisory:
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and other growth initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify strategic opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of long-term corporate strategies.
Corporate Development Initiatives:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the company's strategic roadmap.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of existing investments and acquisitions.
- Support the integration of acquired businesses and assets into the company's operations.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or a similar field.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
