Job Description: Head of Business Development
About Zanskar Securities:
Established in 2022, Zanskar Securities is a systematic proprietary trading firm specializing in developing market-making algorithms across various asset classes in capital markets worldwide. As a SEBI-registered stockbroker, we serve clients ranging from retail brokers to regional and central banks, as well as institutional investors.
We provide liquidity to exchanges through market-making and offer fund administration services through our ancillary service license. These services include investor onboarding, fund accounting, structuring, compliance, and advisory on setups. With a team of 22-25 employees, Zanskar Securities operates from its head office in Bangalore and an additional office in GIFT City. Our robust presence in GIFT City positions us as pioneers in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand the portfolio of domestic institutional clients, including Mutual Funds, for institutional equity.
- Conduct client development conversations, build strong relationships with Mutual Fund houses, and acquire new Mutual Fund clients to grow the institutional client base for the brokerage business.
- Perform market and industry research to identify opportunities and trends in the broking sector.
- Monitor client product preferences, assess investment goals, and collaborate with Senior Management and Capital Markets teams to structure appropriate products.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the company's specialist desks, cross-selling the company's full range of financial products and services.
- Identify customer needs, assess risk appetites, and prepare and execute sales plans for assigned relationships.
- Maintain accurate client records, provide timely progress reports to management, and ensure revenue generation through brokerage activities.
- Refine product-value propositions in real-time to achieve product-market fit and address client needs effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, growth, and sales, as well as other departments, to optimize and execute strategic partnerships.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA from a reputable institute.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with management and clients.
- Dynamic and proactive personality with a proven ability to excel in job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring Indian Equity Institutional clients, such as Mutual Funds, Banks, and large national channels.
