About the role:

We are looking for data scientists who specialize in NLP for a super exciting project in the field of NLU and NLG. It's a high ownership role in a fast-paced environment which requires expertise at the intersection of math, logic, machine learning and computational linguistics. What we expect from you:

- To work closely with the Head of Analytics and collaborate with the Editorial and tech team from time to time

- Build NLU models which work on huge chunks of unstructured data to create structured and smart data lakes which feed into NLG models

- Build dependency trees and semantic triples based on custom rules and entity extraction models

- Build scalable NLP models with deep learning capabilities which get smarter with time

- Explore and identify the right data architecture for the project

- Perform statistical analysis of results and refine the model

- Interact with and align the stakeholders to ensure the models built have a real business impact

- Remain up to date with the rapidly changing field of NLP/ ML

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience as a data scientist preferably with expertise in NLP

- Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures and modeling

- Expertise on Big Data ecosystem of AWS and GCP

- Deep understanding of text representation techniques, statistics and classification algorithms

- Knowledge of Python and SQL

- Ability to write robust and testable code

- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries

- Strong communication skills

- Strong grasp of the English grammar and POS

- An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
