About the role:
YourStory is seeking to onboard entrepreneurial folks who are excited about high ownership roles in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you would be the custodian of all things data and will be working closely with various stakeholders within YS. You would own the entire data journey from building data warehouses, ensuring data sanctity, building reporting systems, providing the right insights and deep user understanding.
Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with various verticals within Yourstory (Product/ Editorial/ Marketing/ Growth) to identify, define, collect and track key metrics for products or business processes
2. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable items and solving problems using an analytical framework
3. Ensuring data tagging through instrumentation along with the developers and representing product performance through dashboards and analyses
4. Strong hold on Google Data/Looker studio for dashboarding is a must
5. Ability to work and influence stakeholders to take data driven decisions
6. Having a product and user out view towards problem-solving while continuously owning and improving the core metrics like DAU/ MAU/ Retention/ Time Spent
7. Ability to independently plan Analytics team's goals, tasks and execute deliverables
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
9. Strong hold on mathematics and statistical concepts
Technical Capabilities:
1. Strong handle in SQL, Excel (good to have basic handle on Python, R, etc.)
2. Analytics and dashboarding tools - BigQuery, Google Analytics, GCP, Redash, GTM, Data Studio, AWS, Piano Analytics, Grafana
