Job Description: Finance Manager

Location: Bengaluru (May have to travel for auditing in future)

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our growing retail industry company having online store as well as physical stores in India.

Statutory Compliance Management:

1. Ensure adherence to all applicable statutory laws and regulations.

2. Manage compliance requirements related to GST, income tax, import/export, and other relevant regulations.

Accounting and Financial Management:

1. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.

2. Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and policies.

3. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

4. Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.

5. Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecast.

6. Monitoring cash flow and ensuring proper cash management.

7. Accounts payable / Accounts receivable management.

8. Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.

9. Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.

10. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making

11. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

12. Leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals

13. Inventory and warehouse management.

ERP Management:

1. Oversee the implementation and utilization of ERP systems for efficient financial and management reporting.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system capabilities, ensuring seamless integration between financial processes and other departments.

Compliance Monitoring:

1. Monitor compliance with ROC (Registrar of Companies) requirements, including filing of necessary documents and maintaining company records.

2. Ensure GST compliance, including timely filing of returns, maintaining accurate records, and resolving any issues.

3. Coordinate income tax compliance processes and liaise with external tax advisors for necessary reporting and filings.

Audit and Financial Risk Management:

1. Collaborate with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits.

2. Implement and maintain internal control measures to mitigate financial risks and prevent fraud.

3. Identify and suggest improvements to financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role.

2. Advanced excel skill

3. In-depth knowledge of Indian statutory compliance requirements, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

4. Proficient in using advanced Excel functions and financial management software.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, both internally and externally.

8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

9. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
