Sales Head
Purpose of role: The Head of Sales is in charge of developing weekly/monthly/annual and seasonal sales targets for the department, examining growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements, product mix development, and taking responsibility for the department performance against targets.
Main Duties:
- Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
- Meeting planned sales goals.
- Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
- Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
- Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
- The ongoing training of your salespeople.
- Developing your sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
- Promoting the organization and products.
- Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
- Analyze the market and provide a proposal at the end of every month by 25th for a prospective target sales setting for the subsequent month on the 2nd
- Minimum of 10 potential customer visits every week by each RSM and should be double verified by personal visit along with RSM. Market connect report to be shared on Daily / weekly (Monday) basis to the Sales Head.
- Responsible to Lead conversion rate to be 30% across all the RSM
- Coordinating for the sale performance from start to end.
- Should to updated the Timesheet on a daily basis and the same has to be submitted for approval to reporting manager on daily.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's/PG degree in business or related field.
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- Experience managing and directing a sales team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedication to providing great customer service.
- Ability to lead a sales team.
Required Skills:
Planning and organizing:
- Assist in preparing capital budget plan and expense management plans
- Develop and execute category plans to meet revenue goals.
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products Analysis:
- Adjusting strategies and materials to improve sales with new target markets.
- Researching and analyzing trends in sales and consumer behavior.
- Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories Innovation:
- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
Environmental/Physical demands Other essential requirements:
- In order to succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a sales team
- Previous experience in a sales-related role is a plus.
- Develop and oversee small to medium scale projects.
- Assist the company in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth.
