YES Securities - Strategy Partner - Institutional Broking
Role Description :
Strategic partner responsible for business planning, business development, strategic guidance, innovation initiatives and project management support for the rapidly expanding Institutional Research & Sales Trading business of a bank-promoted, full-scale capital markets intermediary.
Roles & Responsibilities :
1. Actively partner business leaders in budgeting, business planning, manpower planning and business development including B2B marketing initiatives (events, roadshows, etc)
2. Define and monitor key business performance metrics and present actionable solutions in discussion with management
3. Shadow business teams to gain deeper insights of business dynamics, client relationship management and empanelment processes to help support the strategic solutioning process
4. Identify and actualize strategic synergies that can be derived with parent Bank
5. Help coordinate and finalize Company-Parent Bank joint action on critical business areas
6. Perform oversight of select/ key projects ensuring cross-functional coordination and timely progress
7. Independently lead strategic initiatives specific to the business unit in close coordination with top and senior management
8. Perform periodic business assessments and industry/ global benchmarking
9. Contribute to continuous organizational improvement: Understand organizational/ business goals; Apply industry best practices; Ideate, plan and implement business-accretive and cost-control measures
10. Support in coordination, preparation and finalization of Board-related matters
11. Support HCM with performance measurement and productivity enhancement initiatives
12. Collaborate with support functions such as Finance, Marketing, HCM, IT, etc. to maintain BU-organizational synergies
Education Qualifications : Graduate from reputed institutes; CA; CFA
Specialist functional Exposure : Corporate client relationship management, B2B marketing, project management, basic understanding of macro-economics and industry sectors
Specific Sector Experience required : Direct or indirect (minimum) prior experience in Institutional Research, Sales & Trading, Asset Management, Investment Banking, PE, VC, Investor Services. Background in Corporate Banking, Strategy & Consulting also considered.

1. Strong inter-personal and communication skills to understand, build trust and meaningfully engage and influence stakeholders while maintaining adherence to management objectives
2. Ability to deal with uncertainty, adjusting course as per circumstances while keeping sight of strategic objectives
3. Understanding of capital markets industry landscape and the role of market intermediaries including buy-side and sell-side operations
4. Knowledge of or fair exposure to primary and secondary market operations as well as investment banking practices such as M&A, Private Equity, ECM, DCM, etc.
5. Understanding of client relationship management, B2B marketing and public relations best practices
6. Work-ethic that showcases a pro-active approach, perseverance, teamwork, good time-management and sincerity in execution of responsibilities
7. Absorbent personality that is able learn on the job and effectively develop and implement business-positive solutions
