Maximize Your opportunity :

- Finance Close team provides accounting support to various XL Catlin legal entities based out of Bermuda, UK and US. The key activities of the team involvesP&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of 10K/10Q notes recording of operating expense accruals including global compensation, investment accounting, equity share/debt recording, involvement in quarterly close activities such as assisting in finalizing figures for Press Release, resolving intercompany differences, topside adjustments in HFM, preparation of corporate close calendar,etc.

What will your essential responsibilities include :

- Review of balance sheet reconciliations such as Receivable/Payable, Claims, Unearned premium and Deferred acquisition cost for UK, and US Legal entities on a monthly/quarterly basis.

- Review and analysis of reconciliation of external ceding treaties PPV, Alloy Re and SPS on Quarterly basis and ensure the completeness and accuracy of the manual adjustment bookings.

- Review of internal ceding treaties reconciliations for UK and US Legal entities on a monthly/quarterly basis.

- Review of manual adjustments to correct ceding percentage changes, Stat to Core ledger reclasses and other manual adjustments on quarterly basis in Oracle General Ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Review of Post Close Cash Adjustments journals (Including Loss reserving flip and internal / external ceding treaties adjustments) to account for cash transactions that take place after underwriting source systems close to reconcile the bank accounts on quarterly basis in Oracle General Ledger.

- Balance sheet & Profit and Loss analysis including Ratio analysis, Policy level analysis, Management data & analysis, commentaries etc.

- Liaise with onshore stakeholder in the Identification & investigation of any exceptions in reconciliations.

- Identify process improvements and make recommendations to streamline the process.

- Participate in projects as & when required to ensure true & fair presentation of financials as a result of changes in internal, external treaties, Ledger Clean-up activities etc.

- Handling of adhoc queries related to the process on a regular basis.

- Assist in quarterly close & reporting process and adhere to time schedules.

- Review and update internal controls (FIC) documentation/SOX compliance for various processes

- You will report to Asst. Vice President.

- CA with at least 7-9 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and financial reporting.

- Strong communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the globe.

- Intermediate IT skills (MS Excel, MS Access, Word)

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Organized, methodical, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.

- Candidates with insurance Industry would be preferred
