Responsibilities:
- Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets across all events and properties
- Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our partner/ sponsor & client base
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partnering with clients & partners to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Understanding category-specific landscapes and trends
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Responsibility of setting up and driving sales team, processes and systems
- Complete ownership of P&L across all Events and Properties
- Managing the P&L for events from sponsor perspective
- Ownership of New & Existing Product Planning and Sales
- Driving the sales team on targets and rewarding with target based incentives
- Managing and Optimization of budgets
- Ownership of Vendor management
- Ownership of Creating and execution of Partnership proposals, contracts and related documentation
- Finding and Addressing Market Gaps for revenue growth and margin optimization
- Ownership of Client relations including customization of products to meet client needs
- Supporting and overseeing the team's co-planning, development, and management of sponsorship strategy and day-to-day management of the team for sponsorship activity and activation
- Ensuring the team delivers excellent customer service, building positive business relationships to ensure that any agreements/commitments are delivered within appropriate time frame by building best practices
- Analysis of partnership campaigns to determine the success and challenges to arrive at the best way forward
- Ownership of Invoicing and Receivables
- Owner of Negotiating and finalizing sponsorship agreements, ensuring the exchange of approved and signed contracts.
- Owner of files and records of all sponsor/partner contracts and negotiations.
Requirements:
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets from Media or Events background
Minimum Qualification - MBA
- Previous experience of 6-8 years as a sales manager or sales and marketing director from Events or Media Company
- Well versed with Magazine clients
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to lead teams and cross functional collaboration
- Agile, adaptive and ability to identify and optimize opportunity
- Focused and dedicated ownership of tasks
- Creative Thinking & Fast idea generation & implementation
