About Role:
The resource will be part of the resource management function at a strategic level, ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation of resources to meet business objectives. This role includes forecasting, budgeting, managing utilisation thresholds, bench management, demand management, and developing strategies for upskilling and cross-skilling. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of resource management best practices.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Financial Management:
- Cost Management: Ensure that resource fulfilment costs, bench costs, and subcontractor/vendor expenses are managed within the organisation's established thresholds, as part of the KPI/KRA framework.
Digitization:
- Lead the digitization efforts from a functional perspective, working closely with stakeholders to integrate processes and policies into the digital system, ensuring comprehensive adoption and utilisation through reports and dashboards.
Resource Planning and Allocation:
- Develop and implement resource management strategies to ensure high organisational utilisation and predictability.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, ensuring optimal alignment with project requirements and business priorities.
- Monitor and manage resource utilisation thresholds, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising bench time.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Conduct detailed forecasting and budgeting to anticipate resource needs and align with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain resource planning models to predict future resource requirements based on project pipelines and business growth.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on resource utilisation and financial performance.
Demand Management:
- Collaborate with project managers and business leaders to understand demand and ensure timely fulfilment of resource needs.
- Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) from a demand management perspective, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
- Implement processes to track and close demand requests efficiently.
Bench Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to manage the bench effectively, aligning with utilisation thresholds.
- Identify opportunities to deploy bench resources in a timely manner, minimising non-billable time.
- Ensure regular skills assessments and development plans for bench resources to enhance their employability.
Upskilling and Cross-skilling:
- Develop and implement strategies for upskilling and cross-skilling resources in line with business needs.
- Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development to create training programs that enhance the skill inventory.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust strategies as needed.
Skill Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date skill inventory, ensuring visibility of resource capabilities and availability.
- Use data-driven insights to inform resource allocation and identify skill gaps.
- Support the presales team with bid queries by providing detailed information on resource availability and skills.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the resource management team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
- Promote professional development and continuous improvement within the team.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, business leaders, and HR.
- Facilitate regular meetings to discuss resource planning, address issues, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resource management-related inquiries and escalations.
