You must be able to interface and communicate with all areas of the business. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering working with the sales channel and key customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking of existing products and enhance their maturity (Technical, Commercial, market worthiness etc.)
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and scanning competitor landscape and tracking analyst trends
- Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
- Developing go-to-market plan and Pre Sales and Sales orientation/enablement for existing and new services/products
- Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product/service
- Developing commercial models (Opex & Capex) for new and existing services
- Developing detailed service catalogues for each service definition and associated commercial and legal contract terms for the service
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of software or software security product management experience
- 6+ years of Security Technologies / Managed Security Services experience
- BE, MBA from reputed institutions
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Understanding of Legal and Contractual obligations
- Good blend of business/commercial, sales and technical skills
- Understanding of market issues and trends affecting the IT Security business in the MSS space and articulate differentiators versus the competition
