Job : Sr. Delivery Manager for Professional Services

Location : Bangalore

Experience Level: 16+ years

We are seeking a self-motivated, pro-active individual, comfortable working in fast paced environment and able to drive multiple project from concept to delivery.

Role

1. The Sr. Delivery Manager role in the Base))) Professional Services team is a challenging technical cum functional management role. The person will be required to develop a sound knowledge of the Architecture and Design of the Base))) suite along with the available customization hooks as well as drive the roadmap for future releases.

2. Will be responsible for managing the implementation and configuration of various systems and solutions. To engage with the client in discussions of the business situation and strategy. The role will also entitle to work with the business users for defining the project scope and timelines.

3. As a Sr. Delivery Manager, the person will be responsible to formulate and execute project plans, and manage cross-functional project teams across multiply geographies, solution practices and business domains.

4. The person will own the delivery of the solution including development, stabilization, change requests at very high quality levels and in tight deadlines

5. The person will be required to mentor and guide Dev Leads, Team Leads, manage their work and ensure timely delivery of the solution

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Develop deep understanding of the Architecture, Implementation and constraints of the Base))) suite

2. Excellent project management experience: planning, scheduling, project communication, issue resolution, change management, and risk management;

3. Solid knowledge of software development life cycle;

4. Extensive experience in managing projects with at least 4-12 month duration

5. Excellent leadership and communication skills with discipline exhibited towards work and delivery.

6. Ability to manage the cross functional team consisting of developers, vendors, and business users

7. Experience with issue resolution across multiple locations and businesses

8. Demonstrated skills in client relationship management and ability to manage, direct and command respect from technical and delivery team members

9. Ability to engage with the client in technology discussions

10. Solid experience in implementing enterprise wide, custom applications with global teams

11. Experience in managing implementation challenges in the area of integration, design, configurability, and infrastructure

12. Strong ability to learn new technologies in a short time.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

1. Excellent understanding of Core Java and J2EE framework

2. Must have prior experience of working on Enterprise Applications

3. Strong exposure to Spring (IOC/MVC), Hibernate, Webservices

4. Experience on any SQL Database (preferably MySQL/MariaDb)

5. Messaging Middleware (ActiveMQ / MQSeries)

6. Experience on HTML5, Angularjs

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:

1. Experience on Workflow/BPMN tool

2. Exposure to ESB (like Mule / Camel), NoSQL, UML, OOAD and Design Patterns (GOF and J2EE)

3. Worked on any Integration with an ERP like Oracle or SAP

4. Knowledge of Continuous Integration is an added advantage

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION :

- BE / B. Tech. / M. Tech

- Preferably the candidate should be SCJP (Sun/Oracle Certified Java Programmer), SCWCD (Sun/Oracle Certified Web Component Developer)

- Proven track record of delivering under pressure
