Responsibilities:

- The role of the Service Delivery Leader/Senior Manager in the Valuations & Portfolio Reporting function will be to oversee and lead a team that is responsible for managing valuations and portfolio reporting, including portfolio analytics and property-level performance.


- Furthermore, the team is responsible for working with external third parties to coordinate appraisals or facilitate valuation reviews.


- The role will require extensive knowledge across all sectors within real estate, and preferably on a global scale.


- The Service Delivery Leader/Senior Manager will be responsible for strategic oversight in the region, in alignment with the global valuation's strategic plan, and coordinating with key stakeholders.


- The Valuations & Portfolio Reporting function is a globally growing function and has been in operation for 2-4 years per region.

- The Service Delivery Leader/Senior Manager will oversee teams comprised of professionals providing valuations, analytical support and performance reporting

1. Leadership and oversight of approximately [38 FTE] of professionals providing valuation and portfolio reporting

2. Support the preparation of monthly and/or quarterly property valuation models and portfolio analytics for various asset classes

3. Manage and maintain robust excel based cash flow models populated by Argus models and/or other data sources

4. Build and maintain effective control processes to monitor and track changes in the assumptions of valuation models

5. Effectively obtain property-level information from various source systems or portfolio companies to routinely update cash flow models with actual leasing or changes in market leasing assumptions, other income, operating, or capital expenditures

6. Review and provide critical analysis of changes at the property- or investment-level to report on the cash-flow and valuation changes; Investment-level valuation reports include cash flow analysis, capital market assumptions, equity calculations and other metrics to assess the current valuation of owned assets

7. Oversee the analysis of market conditions from sales comparable and other sources to drive assumptions and assess the value of the assets

8. Support the entire valuation reporting process with Blackstone stakeholders and oversee revisions to valuation models based on feedback

9. Support the third-party appraisal, positive assurance, and audit processes by providing data and responding to questions as they relate to valuations

The Service Delivery Leader/Senior Manager will also be responsible for:

1. Internal departmental budget development, forecasting and management

2. Setting yearly department goals

3. Identifying strategic initiatives to expand roles and responsibilities of the department and create global consistency across regions

4. Directly supervises managers within the department and indirectly supervises associates and analysts within the department. Responsible for overseeing employee work product, career development, and time management

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field. CFA/CPA preferable but not mandatory.

- Minimum of 14-16 years of experience in a real estate related field such as valuations, financial analysis, accounting, etc.

- 5-10 years performing at a supervisory level, ideally in a multi-national or global company environment with ability to train and mentor members of the team

- Demonstrated track record of stakeholder management

- Ability to think strategically and identify & implement any improvements to process

- Real estate knowledge, including broad market fundamentals and financial cash flow modeling

- Drive and desire to learn new technologies and grow technical and functional skill sets

- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

- Argus Enterprise experience preferred

- Passion for making business processes more efficient and successful

- Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills necessary

- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
