People Management/Development

- Lead a rapidly growing team of around 30 professionals.

- Directly manage a team of 4 team leaders (direct reports) across the four work segments (Sales Support, Strategic Research, Global Industries, and RAMs) to ensure all outputs meet the agreed standards in terms of content, quality, and accuracy.

- Oversee team activities; prioritize and manage project pipelines and conduct regular audits of team outputs.

- Should have a team-orientated and collaborative approach; possess good listening skills and have the ability to manage through influence.

- Develop and mentor direct reports to ensure sustained people development.

- Assist with interviewing and selection of team members. Serve as a role model and mentor the team and others.

- Should take up responsibilities for developing Team Leaders through coaching and team building while serving as an Escalation point for the Operations issues and complaints.

- Work with HR to develop and implement a Talent Management strategy for the Business Unit.

- Conduct periodic and annual performance reviews for all direct reports.

Strategy

- Maintain and develop the Global Research strategy and requirements, working with both corporate functions and business units.

- Contribute to the development of the short and long-term Business Unit (BU) strategy in conjunction with overseas counterparts.

- Assist the Head of Marketing, Research and Client Insights (MRCI) as required with Group management (e.g., preparation of global budgets, annual plans, preparation of KPIs / MIs for senior management and stakeholders).

- Review future work transfer opportunities and present proposals/work transition plans to Head of MRCI and relevant stakeholders.

- Partner with leadership to lead change by managing strategic initiatives to meet business needs.

- Demonstrate ability to deliver industry thought pieces utilizing competitive intelligence and strategic analysis frameworks under tight timelines.

- Understanding and translating business needs into specific and concrete set of actions and analyses; actively seek and respond to stakeholder feedback regarding product content and delivery.

- Provide decision support and direction for the creation of long term plans.

Operations Management/Operational Effectiveness

- Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally, that contribute to long-term operational excellence.

- Create standard operating procedures and guidelines in conjunction with the team and stakeholders; establish best practices for the team.

- Manage stakeholder relationships.

- Lead work transition projects for the BU.

- Lead process enhancement/continuous improvement projects by leading gap analysis, developing processes, identifying training needs, and ensuring training materials are created.

- Maintain effective governance, control systems and compliance requirements of the company.

- Oversee metrics in order to meet strategic objectives, monitor and evaluate performance of the team in line with Service Level Agreements.

- Continuously review and establish a robust performance measurement structure.

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Qualifications:

- Postgraduate/Graduate degree in Marketing/Finance/Business Administration

Skills:

- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Strong leadership skills

- Ability to think conceptually

- Effective interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge/Experience:

- 8 plus years- experience in relevant industries/functions like financial services or knowledge services, with at least 3 - 4 years of this in leadership positions.

- Managed/led a mid-sized team of Knowledge resources with a direct/indirect span of at least 15 FTEs.

- Hands on with business/client consulting assignments, industry expertise, strategic initiatives and the ability to highlight the - So what-

- Knowledge of the insurance and consulting industry (desirable).

- Relevant experience in a similar research environment of business /secondary research and competitive intelligence.

- Proficiency in BvD Orbis & Fame, Factiva, OneSource, Dunn & Bradstreet Access, Thompson Business Intelligence, Data Monitor, Hoovers (desirable).

- Knowledge of advanced charting and graphing tools and numerical operations (e.g., Analysis Tool pack, Basis statistical inference) required.

- Excellent project management skills.

- Excellent problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
