Roles & Responsibilities

- Drive the Merchandising function to ensure TNAs are met

- Provide insights on the tech packs, Cost stimulation from Raw material perspective & Sample evaluation

- Expand & identify the best Raw material sources for New Product Development

- Responsible for the product commercialization of US Apparel ranges from design to style sign off for production.

- Co-ordination with Design & PDC for closures on final handover sample (Techpack,SMV, TUD) to i.e. Bill of Material to Supply Chain Management for RM ordering & final costing to Marketing.

- Coordinate with Product line managers, PDC, External Factories whenever required.

- The core objective will be to develop a product which is feasible in production, achieve target cost & suggest alternate solutions to design if required

- Be proactive in working with suppliers to generate new ideas and materials for enhanced product creation and innovation.

- Evaluate all prototypes & samples to ensure details and workmanship are correct, materials used fall within the required costing structure and all test parameters are met.

- Participate in all product meetings/fit sessions. Identify key issues in pricing, construction and workmanship. Communicate issues/problem solving ideas on these issues to allow vendor to proceed to the next sample/bulk stage.

- Partners with Design/Development team to research the market for innovative ideas to further grow and better the product line

- Work intensively with factories of efficient production techniques to improve cost & productivity.

- International and Domestic Travel required to understand supply base

Qualifications

- Textile Engineer with 8 - 10 Years experience in Fashion Retail/Buying House

- Good Communication Skills

- Team Handling Experience
