Designation: Program Director, Mobile Payments
Your role:
- You will be required to efficiently run a complex multi-million dollar program, involving multiple projects and multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment. There is nothing slow paced in the mobile internet economy. :)
- You will be responsible for everything related to the program - Release cycles, Production Issues, Operational issues, Customer escalations, and everything else. The whole 9 yards of it.
- You will need to stay on top of every little thing that goes on in the program. Be scared of Murphy.
- Communicate effectively and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders (Business, Banks, Partners and Merchants). You need to be especially good at managing senior executives of Banks.
- Lead a large cross functional team consisting of (Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, Project Managers, Operations, Customer Support etc.) towards meeting the program objectives. Remember, the more the merrier.
- The team is only as good as the processes we follow. It will be your responsibility to ensure water tight processes are setup across various teams, to ensure smooth running of the program.
- The key to building a world class product, is world class documentation. It is your job to ensure everybody does their part, and does a good job about it.
- There is only so much role we can define for a product in the hyper growth mobile/internet economy. As we build bigger and better things, be willing to take up bigger and better challenges.

- Have a good depth in both business and technical knowledge. And be very hands on with everything you do.
- Be extremely data driven. The geekier, the better
- Possess a keen eye for detail, for it will be required to understand a complex product like mobile payments

Qualifications:
- BE / BTech from a Tier 1 university
- MBA from a premier institute is highly preferable
- Over all experience of 12+ years, with at least 3+ years experience running complex programs (and not just projects).
- Any prior experience in a startup is highly preferable
- Any prior payment industry experience is highly preferable
- Brownie points given if you excel at something, apart from work
