Operations Head / Chief Technical Officer:

- Jalpak is an exciting startup that intends to set up a green manufacturing network for value-added dairy and other agri-packaged products. Jalpak's model is largely B2B, with some B2C business with niche brands. - As part of that journey, Jalpak's immediate priority is to grow its existing dairy business (White Spread Foods) in MP (Indore/Bhopal) and establish a world-class supply chain and manufacturing facilities.

- Jalpak acquired White Spread Foods from Mahindra Group, which is still a 20%stake holder. White Spread sources its milk from farmers in the Indore area and supplies retailers and HORECA customers in the Indore and Bhopal markets.

- Further to its ambition to be a national player WSFPL has launched it's Brands in East of India & in leading Modern Trade chains.

- White Spread Foods is generating 50-60 crores in revenues per annum and remains a startup in Stealth mode.The business has approx. 75 employees and a good number of off-roll contract persons who are engaged in front-line/support jobs.

- Jalpak's manufacturing facilities will be piloted by a Dairy Processing setup in MP (Dewas region) followed by a mother plant for food processing which is planned on the 25 acres of land that it has acquired in Jharkhand to supply Eastern India & NE.

- In partnership with Tetrapak, Jalpak has already designed India's most sophisticated and cost-effective food processing plant. This factory will be constructed in the next 18 -24 months.

- Mr. Sunil Sood, Ex-CEO Vodafone India is Chairman of the Board and Jalpak's Board include marquee names drawn from India's top investors, corporates and entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities:

As the CTO/Operations Head, you will:

- Strategize, Plan & commission the Pilot plant in Dewas (Greenfield) within 14-16 months.

- Take overall responsibility for group operations including Plant, Production, Procurement, NPD, Logistics, Quality, forecasting, 3P manufacturing & R&D.

- Align with management to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals for the organization

- Build efficient & world-class team in line with MNCs for future growth

- Plan and monitor day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress

- Supervise different department heads under him & provide constructive feedback

- Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements

- Manage and planning of milk & VAP procurement processes

- Manage customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction

- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

- Revise or formulate policies and standard operating procedures (SOP's)

- Manage relationships/ negotiate agreements with external partners/vendors

- Evaluate overall performance of the company through regular reviews

- Set and achieve short- and long-term goals for growth and profitability.

- Effective management of achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

- Driving thought leadership and team management besides mentoring the leaders at the organization to the next level.

- Candidate should have leadership qualities to take higher responsibilities in future & can grow in a few years into senior leadership/director of WSFPL

Required Qualifications:

- Graduation in Dairy/food Technology (preferred) / MBA from a well-regarded Institute/Univ. with experience in FMCG, Beverages, and Food Processing Industries

- A Non-dairy tech can be considered only if the person comes from the dairy Industry background with excellent experience / proven track record in the above areas

- Ability to conceptualize & commission a Dairy-based pilot plant with future scalability into the TETRA pack line.

- Should have experience & expertise in setting up GMP-certified processing for Milk, Paneer, SMP, Ghee, and Fermented range

- Problem-solving abilities that adapt to a variety of situations

- The person must have good IT skills with more than working knowledge of ERP software, Excel, PPT, data analysis, etc.

- Ability to glean insights from data, data-based decision-making, and sound commercial acumen - to guide his team members well
