Role Overview::
Lead for Enterprise Risk Technology at WBT @ EGS
Partners directly with several risk technology directs reporting to CTO, Capital Markets Services technology.
Focus will include delivering solutions for enterprise data sourcing, risk analytics, risk aggregation, risk warehousing and reporting to market and credit risk officers, senior management and meeting all regulatory risk reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities::
Lead a technology team of 50+ members across multiple locations with direct responsibility for Business Analysis and Development teams and indirect responsibility for QA and application support teams.
Lead, design and develop technology solutions to complex problems that require both in depth knowledge of capital markets and strong technical expertise.
Collaborate with US technology managers for projects driven by them with a team extension model.
Drive full project life cycle for other projects/applications including user interaction, planning, development, testing and L3 support.
Proactively manage risk including deliverables, operational issues through implementation of right controls and escalate where required.
Act as the primary point person to peer groups and customers for effective communication on systems and projects within area of responsibility.
Design and develop applications, tools and processes to ensure better safety, reliability and supportability. Collaborate with QA, production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
Provide leadership in building and maturing Risk Technology competencies.

Required experience
Working knowledge of mathematical models and capital markets & investment banking systems:
Uses advanced mathematical concepts such as financial engineering/advanced calculus/statistical modeling/stochastic processes.
Develops technology to compute price and risk measures such as duration, convexity, VaR, PFE, using complex quantitative models with intraday evaluation to account for market fluctuations.
Develops technology in support of trading assets such as bonds, equities, derivatives and structured products.
Extensive experience in the capital markets business and processes (e.g. pricing and hedging derivatives, trade lifecycle, electronic trading, algorithmic trading, market making) from an application development perspective.
Knowledge of SEC, FINRA, Dodd Frank, Basel, Volcker, MIFID, FRTB, and/or other industry regulations to build technological solutions.
Apart from Capital Markets specific knowledge and skills listed above, relevant technology experience (e.g. - Trader Desktop using WPF; Low latency, high throughput server components in Java; Capacity planning and application sizing).Excellent knowledge of at least one risk discipline (e.g. Counterparty Credit, Market, Issuer, etc.)Good understanding of regulatory requirements such as CCAR, FRTB, BCBS 239 and Volcker.
Excellent knowledge of at least one investment-banking product set (e.g. Rates, Credit, etc.)
