The Role:
- In this role, you will report and work closely with the APAC Indirect Senior Procurement Manager to develop and implement strategic sourcing of Indirect spend in India and across APAC.
- You will lead end to end procurement projects, following the 7-steps process, from need definition to supplier selection and management.
- You will also work closely with global procurement, to give insight on local market trend, supplier portfolios and business trends, support the development of global category strategies, with the objective of maximizing value, innovation, growth and efficiencies, while enabling business partners' strategies.
- You will initially focus on India spend as first priority, and will also support APAC Indirect Procurement Manager to build up APAC sourcing pipeline in short term and long run.
- You will be acting as key procurement contact point for India, and will work closely with regional senior manager and business leaders to reinforce indirect procurement policy adoption and compliance.
- As per Wella compliance governance, the Procurement Manager will play a critical role in enhancing compliance governance in indirect spend sourcing process. In the long run, you will be also supporting APAC sourcing activities for other APAC countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the defining and development of APAC indirect spend, India as priority at beginning.
- Provide category and market expertise and guidance to the business.
- Lead end-to-end procurement initiatives and projects.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant laws and regulations.
- Contribute to execution of the financial Strategic Plan of the Business Services spend pool.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure business wide buy into all category's initiatives.
- Support the contractor selection process including robust knowledge of tender management.
- Lead suppliers and contracts negotiations.
- Coordinate selected solution roll-out leveraging project and change management tools & processes.
- Lead spend analytics activities and work closely with stakeholders to continuously identify new project opportunities
- Support and lead some Supplier Relationship Management activities to secure supplier performance and enable additional value creation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of indirect procurement experience in multinational company, with a good understanding of marketing spend, professional services and IT/Digital spend management.
- A Bachelors / Masters degree in Economics, Business or Engineering. MBA advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Strong compliance awareness, familiar with relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate across functions.
- Excellent analytical skills, negotiation skills, strategic thinking and collaboration skills.
- High level of reliability, personal integrity, autonomy and ownership.
