Walmart - Assistant Manager - Imports

Job Purpose:

- Operationally co-ordinate & monitor the End to End Imports process for all categories (GM/ Fixtures/ ISD Equipment- s/ Food etc.).

- Ensuring 100% adherence to all compliance process ( Internal and External)

Effective Management of the Import Supply Chain Operations :

- Timely submission of documents to Customs.

- Clearance of the shipments within 5 -6 working days & Fresh import within detention free period (14 Days).

- Timely submission of documents to Finance to ensure payment is released to the supplier's as per payment terms agreed upon.

- Space co-ordination at origin with the OCM.

- Correct filing of Bill of Entry as per the approval process.

- Verification & preparation of Document sets for customs clearance.

- Release & hedging of Purchase orders.

- Filing of all documents as per the filing process.

- Sharing of Landed Cost with the merchants.

- Responsible for the Monthly & weekly reports for the dept.

Manage Secondary transportation to the Stores :

- Co-ordination with the transporters for availability of the vehicles for movement from DC to stores.

- Ensuring Full capacity utilization of the vehicles being planned from DC to stores.

- Preparation of the required documents for movement of the vehicle from the DC to stores.

- Day to day operational management of the 3 PL DC / transporters.

- Day to day system updation & timely creation of local PO's.

FCPA Compliance :

- Ensure FCPA approved vendor with valid contracts.

- Ensure all vendors being used are FCPA approved vendors & with valid contracts.

- To Co-ordinate with the vendors for the annual certification.

- Ensure timely processing of vendor bills.

Documentation of the Import Shipments :

- Ensure that records of all Import documents are maintained as per legal requirements.

Educational Qualifications :

- MBA or Master's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain.

- Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Retail Link.

Relevant Experience :

Minimum of 4 - 5 years of Professional experience in Supply Chain and Logistics, Retail, Manufacturing with minimum 2- 3 years of experience in managing Export/Import flow, Custom Clearance
