Role and Prospects:
To be part of the Leadership team in a General Insurance Broking company, backed by 2 senior Financial Services professionals and a leading UHNW Indian family. The right candidate will be groomed to be the CEO of this business.
Remuneration/Package:
We are willing to meet/beat industry standards for the right candidate - Salary/Bonus will not be a constraining factor. Additionally, given the seniority of the position, we will offer stock ownership commensurate with the role.
Job description:
- To prospect, acquire and maintain relationships with Corporate Clients (Medium/Large)
- Maintain and develop relationships with Insurance companies.
- Develop and maintain an effective network within the business community and industry.
- Ease of technical discussions with CEO/CFO of the companies and Insurers.
- Develop, maintain, and nurture long-term relationships with top accounts; key client decision - makers and maintain service levels all along.
- Sales of various General Insurance Products and Solutions to Small/Mid-size companies and its owner/promoters.
- Recruit and build Sales teams to expand market footprint in South India
Other Key Responsibilities:
Technical : Understanding the prospect/client's business and risk exposures. Conducting Insurance Program reviews and identifying gaps.
- Assisting the prospect/client in filling up detailed risk questionnaires and explaining coverage terms to them.
- Send proposal forms to insurance companies to procure quotations, prepare comparative quotes, and negotiate terms and conditions to meet the clients requirements.
- Meet prospect/client with the recommendation of cover, cross-verification of the policy terms and conditions.
- Work with Service Delivery Team to ensure timely endorsement issuance, report issuance, and advocating on behalf of the client at the time of claim or any other requirements.
Other Skills:
Knowledge:
- Ability to study and analyse an insurance contracts, summarize coverage, and advise its suitability to a client
- Develop understanding of client's industry and develop marketing plans across verticals (property, liability, employee benefits insurance programs, and specialty lines).
- The candidate should have completed the IRDA-mandated broker training and have passed the Indian Insurance Certification examination. Any other international certifications is an added advantage.
Marketing and Business Intelligence:
- Be the eyes and ears in the market and constantly be in touch with updates in the insurance industry - specifically on new products, new add-ons, changes in rates, covers etc.
- Conceptualize new initiatives for increasing sales and top of mind recall amongst potential corporate clients
- Identify marketing opportunities by studying clients requirement; defining market, competitors share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses, forecasting projected business, establishing targeted market share.
- Creating a database of prospective clients, maintaining regular touch with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Update knowledge by participating in IRDA programs, up to date on professional publications, participating in professional organizations and attending training programs.
- Stay abreast of emerging lines such as Cybercrime, EVs, and other Liability policies.
General:
- Team work, proven track record of achieving targets, establish long term relationships with clients.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills, motivated, mature, ambitious, and knowledgeable.
