Territories/Activities - 1 Tax Planning, Tax Advisory &amp; Risk Analysis - India &amp; India Cluster: - Understand relevant tax clauses of tender conditions. - Thorough reading &amp; understanding of the tender conditions with proper tender interpretations and in line with the statutory laws applicable and interpretations to the respective country - Prepare Tax planning sheet in line with the conditions of contract &amp; recommend the optimized tax recommendation to the CRS &amp; implement - Consult / collate opinion from external/internal experts for any clarification/benefit and ensure proper benefit is availed - Follow-up with proposal team for any additional clarification and submission of bid in line with checklist and recommendation 2 Compliance - India &amp; India Cluster : - Vetting of Advance Tax computation and ensure the tax is paid in time - Vetting of Income Tax return and ensure timely filing of return 3 Assessment &amp; Litigation - India &amp; India Cluster : - Ensure all the documents are available for submissions with Tax authorities for submissions - Co-ordinate with department, advocate/consultant and fix hearing with authorities to complete the assessment - Effectively handle the departmental audits, Intelligence proceedings and protect the company from any additional liability other than policy related litigations - In case of any demand, evaluate the risk, identify &amp; fix the advocate/tax consultant for litigation, in case of any demand, evaluate the risk, identify &amp; fix the advocate/tax consultant for litigation - Co-ordinate with Management/Advocate towards closure of the litigations 4 Transfer Pricing India &amp; India Cluster : - Analyse the transaction referred by the Projects/internal customers whether satisfies arm's length price. If not to suggest the alternative - Ensure Form 3CEB is prepared and filed in time - Ensure all the required documents are available for TP compliance - Co-ordinate with Tax consultant &amp; IT authorities and ensure the TP assessment is completed - Co-ordinate with Tax consultant/Advocate and prepare appeal papers and ensure the appeals are filed and heard and completed 5 Tax Manual &amp; Tax Update India &amp; India Cluster : - Stay connected and updated with provisions, notifications, circulars, amendments &amp; case laws pertaining to Direct Taxation which are relevant to WABAG business by obtaining legal opinions from tax consultants/advocates, wherever required - Prepare comprehensive "Direct Tax Manual" based on the updates provisions of the tax law 6 Team development &amp; Motivation India : - Delegate work to Team members carry out the assignment independently with lesser supervision - Train them to conduct interactive sessions among the team members to improve their confidence level - Ensure the team is capable of handling direct tax matters with regard to their assigned responsibilities
