About our Client - Our client is a high-profile worldwide leading financial institution with significant presence in Asia. Due to constant expansion and to bring their business to even greater heights in India, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Middle-Office candidate to take on pioneer leadership roles.

Job Description - The position reports into the Director - Trade Services. You will be leading and mentoring a team of about 30 professionals and will be their guide on the subject. In addition you will:

- Responsible for providing issuance & life cycle management (X-Market, X-tracker) products offered to private and retail investors in various jurisdictions across the globe

- Provide support to the Front Office and other teams with daily issues, which may include troubleshooting problems arising on an ad-hoc basis or reacting to market driven demands such as prioritizing issuance

- Efficiently utilizing existing systems and improving current processes to increase operational efficiency

- Coordinating with Front Office, Traders, regional legal teams and Operations for a successful partnership

- Effectively manage risk and foster an environment that is knowledgeable about risk, abides by risk guidelines & controls

- Participating in cross-departmental initiatives formulated to create or improve existing functionality and processes

- Producing documentation using legal templates to create Offering Circulars and Global Securities for the issuance of new products

- Working closely with the Equity Derivative Legal, Sales and Trading teams for review and approval of documents, and co-ordinating with other members of the team

- Organizing Index license agreements with index calculation agents

The Successful Candidate -

- You will have more than 10 years of relevant banking experience in the Trade Services space, with a focus towards Equities operations. (any overseas experience would be a plus).

- You have evolved problem solving skills and a strong decision making ability.

- An in-depth knowledge of derivative products, across asset classes and an absolute understanding of the trading environment (Trade capture to balance sheet) is absolutely essential.

- You have the ability to build and maintain strong relations with tough/ demanding stakeholders.

- In the past, you have managed a group of people successfully in a similar space and have a passion for grooming talent.

- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
