Purpose:

We are looking for a candidate with 10 to 12 years of experience in Products & Investment Advisory. The candidate must bring deep knowledge of financial products, must be an independent and a clear thinker, and at the same time must be adept at building consensus internally and externally. It is important that the candidate must be good at collaboration and exhibit teamwork. It is crucial that the candidate must have experience in interfacing with the prospects/clients, the candidate must be comfortable making pitches to prospects/clients and convince them on investment calls that are always right by the client. And therefore, it necessitates that the candidate should be a good communicator who can access the pulse of the audience and communicate accordingly.

On the core side, Investment Advisor must be able to provide qualitative, objective, unbiased research and conduct due diligence on various products offered by Asset Managers. Attention needs to be paid to valuations for the asset class as a whole, the past track record of the fund manager, qualitatively assessing the depth of channel checks and investment process, assess the people & team towards a holistic assessment of each product offering. The candidate must also imbibe Company's orientation towards forensics and quality filters with a clear objective of minimising accidents and raising red flags and early warning signals. These efforts are towards Entrust building a comprehensive portfolio of products for clients across risk profiles, across asset classes, across geographies.

Investment Advisor provide Product support to Business Development and are responsible for coming up with quick and relevant supporting material for client engagements. This role also includes preparation of up-to-date stock/MF/Product recommendations, context/client specific sales collateral and support on sales engagements for closure.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Provide Analytical support towards asset allocation calls made by the Investment Advisory Team and tactical allocation calls.

- Ability to independently identify, analyze, put forth investment ideas, recommendations backed by high-quality research.

- Fully proficient and knowledgeable as an expert in the tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. Provide investment-related technical input to support BD efforts and post-conversion client servicing.

- Document and maintain up-to-date investment ideas & recommendations including a list of which client has been recommended what idea and when, with outcomes.

- Participate in customer calls and events as necessary to promote Company's services through presentations of Investment Advisory Services.

- Ongoing portfolio monitoring

- Presentation skills: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and explaining investment advisory services.

- Domain skills: Specific knowledge of Capital Markets domain (including equities, alternatives, fixed income, mutual funds) overall financial markets domain, as well as knowledge of global markets & trends in general. Strong analytical and product research skills, Risk assessment.

- Educational & Proficiency level: MBA with 10 to 12 years of domain experience, ideally in a capital markets environment.

- Languages: Required to be fluent in English, good written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications

NISM certifications: NISM Certification as relevant

Investment Advisors are required to be NCFM certified to acquire ENTRUST specified certification within a limited timeframe (to be agreed with manager) in minimum one stream of Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Mutual Funds

A certification is considered valid if the Advisor has:

1) successfully passed the certification examination

AND

2) successfully cleared as & when the certification period is due for renewal.
