VP/SVP - Corporate Communication - BFSI

Job Description :

Purpose - Responsibilities encompass the spectrum of communication activities managed by the Marketing and Corporate Communication unit including building and protecting BANK's reputation and using insights to drive discussions and communication planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the development and implementation of multi-stakeholder external and internal communication strategies, working closely with the C-suite and management team

- Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media

- Engage, build and maintain good relations with the media across levels

- Create engaging content pieces towards building a powerful narrative for the Brand

- Utilize research and develop insight to provide communication counsel

- Media Relations and engagement

- Identify themes and information from businesses and industry, weave it together into a concise and insightful media peg/story idea

- Crises Management - Managing issues, acting as the in-house expert for media related crisis

- Ensuring a steady pipeline of company news and participation at industry forums, awards and recognition along with credible speaking engagements

Skills and Qualifications

- Work Experience: 13-15 years in BFSI sector years' experience in PR/ Corporate Communication AVP/ VP level. Media Agency management experience would be an added advantage.

- Strong content writing skills with ability to translate ideas into impactful narrative/stories

- Understanding of the media landscape (across TV, print and Digital). Conversant with the BFSI PR eco-system - relationship with journalists in the BFSI space is a must.

- Excellent Content management skills, drafting of Press Releases/ quotes/articles etc

- Good media contacts with the corporate, consumer media are important.

- Educational Qualifications: Post Grad preferably in Mass Communication, PR,Journalism or related field.
