As a member of the leadership team, you will lead the day-to-day operations to continually improve order fulfillment performance and reduce costs while building the long-term strategy and capabilities for a sophisticated multi-channel fulfillment and delivery infrastructure with diverse product categories.
- Define, architect and implement our current and future operational/supply-chain roadmap;
- Manage day-to-day operations and 3PL partners to improve service levels, operational efficiencies, and costs;
- Work with and influence e-commerce fulfillment operations within third party functions and organizations
- Develop and manage KPI s for fulfillment and delivery performance that satisfy consumer expectations, marketing requirements and financial targets while optimizing cost and speed;
- Reduce delivery costs and time (from order placement to customer delivery) by improving carrier costs, optimizing and consolidating orders/routes, and implementing advanced technologies;
- Build and execute long term strategy to support multi-channel fulfillment infrastructure;
- Oversee development of systems and processes of continuous improvement.
- To maintain strong working relationship with all internal & external stakeholders
- Hiring and grooming a 2nd line of leadership to build a world class team
- Ensure statutory & process compliance at all levels across his/her span and ensure all systems are set in place to prevent any compliance related issues
- To scale up internal processes through external benchmarking & driving new initiatives
Qualification:
- Engineering/Science background is a must, MBA is preferred
- At least 12-15 years of experience in Operations including an e-commerce company
- Should have handled large team
- Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma is an added advantage
- Go getter attitude
