GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's future by identifying, developing, and executing key strategic initiatives. This individual is both a thinker and a doer, capable of diving deep into data and market trends while also driving cross-functional collaboration to turn insights into actionable strategies. The Strategy Manager is expected to be forward-thinking, with a keen understanding of technology in agriculture and the challenges and opportunities it presents. They will be responsible for ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the industry, anticipating market shifts, and positioning the company for sustained growth and success. This role requires a balance of analytical prowess, project management skills, and interpersonal effectiveness.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Planning:
- Lead the development and execution of short-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and internal capabilities to identify growth opportunities.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Product, and Finance, to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Engage with external investors, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to gather insights and foster strategic partnerships.
3. Data Analysis:
- Utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Monitor and report on the performance of strategic initiatives, making recommendations for improvements.
4. Innovation:
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team and across the company.
- Identify and champion new business models or product/service opportunities based on market research and insights.
5. Project Management:
- Oversee the execution of strategic projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure resources are allocated appropriately for strategic initiatives.
6. Communication:
- Clearly communicate the strategic vision, plans, and progress to investors, internal teams, stakeholders, and the executive leadership.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations for senior management and board meetings.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to handle client and investor relationships independently.
- Open to travel in assigned geographical areas as per the requirements.
- Excellent Team Building/ Handling experience, possess leadership skills.
- The ability to work with cross-functional teams is a must.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business, or a related field with an MBA from tier 1 business schools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of Corporate Finance, Business Operations & Capital Deployment
- Preferred industry would be Consulting, Venture Capital or Private equity or tech industry experience(someone from founders office)
- Proficient in data analytics tools and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for agriculture and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the sector.
