VP - Software Development/Maintenance & Support Delivery - IT

Position: VP-Software Development, Maintenance & Support Delivery (Leading MNC IT Company)

Role:

- This is a leadership role, responsible for Application Development, Implementation, Maintenance and Support for a suite of Applications and Platforms in the BFSI domain

- Will manage multiple teams of Application Development, Testing, Offshore Support, UI, UX, QA for a suite of Applications and Platforms in the BFSI domain

- Hands on leadership and end to end ownership of leading and delivering platform and products by leveraging multiple technology stacks (Java/ .Net) as well as Modern Technology Stack (Microservice, Cloud, DevOps, Gen AI)

- Lead globally distributed technology teams through programs and projects to create, enhance and maintain applications, platforms, technology systems and processes

- Strategic Thinking - Develop vision, objective, strategy, and initiatives to achieve organizational goals

- Establish and implement standards, best practices, and ongoing governance.

- Will head a team of 300+ members

- Exploring emerging technologies, delivering pilots and POCs that leverage these technologies to solve existing business problems, identify new business opportunities

- Own responsibility of managing resources and capabilities of your teams; ensuring adequate levels of resources available to meet commitments.

- Ensure knowledge sharing and relevant upskilling is in place for your team where required

- Manage and grow high value technology teams that will deliver products and solutions

- Possess a demonstrated ability to assess, develop, and retain talent, as well as draw additional talent to build the capacity of the team

- Manages in a matrix organization and uses influencing skills to promote strategic plans.

- Develop strong stakeholder relationships

- Understand and provide recommendations for the improvement of processes and applications

Requirements:

- BTech/ MTech/ MCA with 20+ yrs of experience

- Good experience in Software development, maintenance and support of complex Applications and Platforms in the BFSI domain

- Good experience of Software Development and Delivery in multiple technology stacks (Java/ .Net) as well as Modern Technology Stack (Microservice, Cloud, DevOps, Gen AI)

- Should have good people management skills and experience in leading teams of 300+ members

- Strong leadership experience, leading multiple teams, providing management and operational oversight, and making strategic decisions in a time-bound environment

- Leading the delivery of complex systems and distributed, service-based systems.

- Leadership and line management experience including managing the technical deliverables of others, managing appraisals and performance, and managing team capacity and absence.

- Excellent communication and English language skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams

- Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders and align on priorities and requirements.

- Strong sense of ownership of team commitments, deliverables and quality

- Strong experience in Agile/ Scrum software delivery methodologies

- Solid understanding of complex IT environments

- Strong global stakeholder management skills

- Excellent Communication Skills
