Job brief:
The Admission Head develops and implements a comprehensive strategy to drive student enrollment and engagement through events and outreach initiatives. They work closely with admissions teams, academic departments, and other stakeholders to support recruitment efforts and achieve enrollment goals
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a strategic plan for events and sales outreach that aligns with the university's enrolment objectives.
2. Organize and manage various events, including college fairs, open houses, campus tours, information sessions, and recruitment events.
3. Collaborate with admissions counsellors and academic advisors to ensure events are tailored to the needs and interests of prospective students.
4. Identify and engage with potential student leads through outreach activities, such as high school visits, community events, and online campaigns
5. Work with marketing and communications teams to promote events and outreach initiatives through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and university websites.
6. Coordinate with alumni, current students, and university faculty to participate in events and serve as brand ambassadors.
7. Track and analyze the effectiveness of events and outreach activities in generating leads and converting prospects to enrolled students.
8. Maintain relationships with external partners, education institutions, high schools, and community organizations to expand the university's reach and visibility.
9. Provide training and support to admissions and sales teams on effective event participation and outreach techniques.
10. Stay updated on trends and best practices in student recruitment and sales outreach to optimize strategies and approaches.
Requirements and skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven experience in event planning, sales, outreach, or higher education admissions, with a focus on student recruitment.
3. Strong organizational and project management skills to plan and execute successful events and outreach activities.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with prospective students, parents, and stakeholders.
5. Creativity and problem-solving abilities to develop engaging event concepts and outreach strategies.
6. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse metrics and make data-informed decisions.
7. Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed for event coordination and outreach activities.
8. Leadership and team management skills to lead event staff and collaborate with various university teams.
