About Our Client

Our client is a leading corporate and investment bank with rapid expansion of their operations in Indian market. As a part of migration of value added work from the US, UK, Europe and financial centres in APAC and increase in volume of trades globally, they are seeking for experienced Investment Banking/ Hedge Fund Operations professional at VP level to strengthen their management team in Kolkata.

Job Description

- Reporting to the Head of Operations, you would be responsible for running the the securities operations team based out of Kolkata to carry out the Hedge Fund/Securities operations for the bank. This would involve trade processing, settlements, reconciliations and reporting related activity for the equity swaps, security lending and prime brokerage products.

- Liaising closely with the onshore business in UK, US and APAC and other support centres in SE Asia you would ensure proper risk & control, new product migrations, process enhancement initiative among many others.

The Successful Applicant

- A good Bachelors with at least 12+ years of settlements/reconciliations experience within large investment banks or Hedge Funds. You should have solid knowledge of securities operations, trade processing, reconciliation with very good understanding of fund operations.

- Detailed understanding of broker matching, regulatory environment and upcoming changes. You must have led large teams with senior stakeholder management experience along with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in high volume environment.
