Responsibilities

- Develop short-term and long-term sales and marketing strategies including setting sales goals, pipeline, targets and policies

- Own PNL statement and support consistent implementation of company initiatives in a controlled budget

- Lead all phases of an end-to-end sales cycle including pre-sales presentations, client persuasion, conducting negotiations and contracting terms with clients

- Work with the co-founders for lead generation, cold-calling and demo delivery

- Identify client service requirements and maximize selling opportunities by establishing personal rapport with all levels of client organization

- Demonstrate leadership skills by building and leading the sales team and ability to work under continual pressure of deadlines, prepare sales compensation plan and implement incentives including policies and procedures

- Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners

- Track competition, read industry publications, visit industry websites and attend conventions, conferences and trade shows, drive awareness of big data analytics in logistics industry in India and abroad through research, marketing and brand building activities

- Go extra mile to make it a great experience for the client, make a stretch to solve the problem on the same day and work with - get-things-done- attitude in an early-age startup environment

- Navigate through the convoluted sales cycles, re-organize them and increase the sales conversion ratio

- Network with community and be the face of the company and research, participate and represent the company in business conferences

- Focus on building auxiliary revenue streams and refine business model as the company grows

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

- Achievement of firm sales, profit, and strategic objectives

- Accountable for the on-time implementation of sales organization quotas and performance objectives

- Accountable for the thorough implementation of sales-impacting initiatives

- Responsible for the efficient allocation of technology, support, and training resources impacting the sales

- Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting essentials for sales organization effectiveness

- Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company founders and investors responsibility for all sales targets, channel program development and implementation, department P&L, product forecasting, and management of sales staff

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in inbound and outbound sales execution role at B2B software product companies (Start-up experience is a big plus!)

- Extensive knowledge of logistics industry and emerging technologies

- Hands-on relationship management experience with a proven track record in reaching and exceeding goals

- Proven track record of being a self-starter, always staying on the top and ability to work at optimal productivity under continual deadline pressure

- Superior communication and relationship building skills (Has to be a sweet talker!)

- Expert in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Powerpoint and Word

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce or related field

- MBA in Sales/Marketing from top-tier management school or Masters degree in any relevant domain is preferred
