About our Client - Our client is a leading global bank with a successful history in India, and strong growth plans for the future. They have been expanding their shared service set up and are looking for a seasoned operational risk professional to lead the risk and control assurance team as VP for SOX compliance and operations control across multiple geographies for the organization.

Job Description - Reporting into Head of Risk and Governance for India, you would be responsible to build and maintain the risk and control framework across multiple geographies including assurance, audit and reporting. You would also assign appropriate ownership and implement the risk monitoring processes within the team. You will review and analyze Operational Risk MIS to identify trends and root causes to ensure necessary remedial actions. You will also need to build strong working relationship with all key stakeholders like BU Heads and ensure the tenets of strong risk and governance practices are embedded in the business strategy. You would be leading a team of risk management professionals and would be required to manage, groom and motivate the team.

The Successful Candidate - You should be a CA or MBA with minimum of 12 years of working experience in a similar role with comprehensive understanding of Operational Risk Management and Assurance with good knowledge of SOX, Governance and Control Framework and Risk Reporting. Prior experience of working in Risk Advisory or Audit within a Bank or a professional services firm is a must.
