Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage team(s) responsible for monitoring performance of market risk and counterparty credit risk models and implementation and testing, including work on relevant products in interest rates, credit, CVA, equities, foreign exchange, and commodities.
- Redesign or implement monitoring metrics to ensure all risk are captured and regularly communicate the performance metrics results to the Model Oversight team.
- Perform model governance and quality assurance for market and counterparty credit risk models.
- Collaborate in developing and designing enhancements for model knowledge database architecture.
- Work with senior stakeholders and developers to develop and maintain model database information, including key model risks, risk tolerance, assumptions, limitations, and KPIs.
- Help in developing standard development documentation for audit purpose.
Required qualifications:
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in model monitoring, validation, or development either in market risk or counterparty credit risk, including leadership and management experience.
- A master's degree or PhD (preferred) in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) field.
- Having a thorough understanding of model development lifecycle and knowledge of model governance and model development areas.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to mentor and provide technical assistance to a team that interfaces with a broad set of stakeholders across the firm for process and project management.
- Experience in establishing teams and designing processes aligned with contemporary agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.
- Programming skills using Python/SQL/Excel/Java/R
