Transformation Programme Managers plan, mobilise and direct a portfolio with projects of high complexity and scale from initiation to closure. All projects are managed following Agile delivery methodology. Programme Managers are aligned to delivery themes (Controls, Stewardship and Oversight) which in turn are aligned to the 2020 RC initiative. The Programme Manager will manage a set of project teams responsible for writing user stories, perform system testing, support interactions with 3rd party vendor end users, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management activities during project delivery as well as supporting overall Project Management & Stakeholder engagement activities.
Leading the agile delivery process through the structure and the team aligned to each product, Programme Managers (Transformation Agile Leads) are responsible for working closely with one or more Product Owners to agree the delivery priorities (product backlog), ensuring the required release schedule and Minimum Viable Product (MVP), plan the delivery sprints and releases, work with the technology teams (both vendors and in-house teams) to plan and deliver the technology solutions, support the definition of the business cases and secure the appropriate resources and funding.
Working in the RC Transformation team, the Programme Manager will be accountable to a Delivery Theme Lead who report in to the Head of RC Transformation and while Programme Managers are expected and required to build strong working relationships with Stakeholders, particularly Product Owners, they are also expected and required to ensure strong and close working relationships with the Transformation function and IT through adopting, following and RC Transformation Delivery principles, governance, lines of communication and management considerations.
Programme Managers are also expected and required to adopt and ensure alignment with the wider Risk change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviours.
Experience :
- Strong understanding of Agile Change delivery principles and able to execute using Agile techniques
- Prior experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in banking domain
- Detailed understanding of change management methodology, associated objectives and experience of the full change lifecycle
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills
- Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
- Proven ability to work across regions with senior stake holders.
